Microsatellite Analysis

The MGH DNA Sequencing Core is now offering microsatellite analysis to researchers within the Partners network. Samples are run with LIZ500 as a size standard offering fragment analysis ranging from 50 to 500bp. When submitting samples for analysis, users must provide 20uL of sample in either 1.5 mL eppendorf tubes or in 96-well plate format. Enter which dye your samples are labeled with (NED, 6-FAM, PET, or VIC) as well as the fragment length information. At this time, we do not provide analysis for multiplexed samples. Determining the correct concentration is the responsibility of the researcher as this will vary depending on samples. Data is provided in .pdf format displaying peak information: height, area, and size. Fragment information is also provided in table format as an excel spreadsheet. Data will be posted to your sequencing folder within 48 hours after your samples are received.

Rates:
Partners researchers: $1.50 per sample ($1.00/sample for orders containing 96 samples in plate format)

If you would like to submit samples for analysis, please contact Daniel Collette at 617-726-0099 / dcollette@ccib.mgh.harvard.edu to set up an account.
