16S Sequencing

Our 16S Sequencing service is one of several specialized applications within our Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) service portfolio. 16S rRNA gene sequencing, or 16S amplicon sequencing, is used to identify and quantify microbes within biological mixtures. Our service will help determine the relative abundance of taxa in a bacterial community. As user-provided input material, we are currently accepting purified double-stranded DNA. Output data is demultiplexed fastq files.

We are accepting samples for 16S Monday through Friday. Turnaround time is 2-5 weeks.

For full 96-well plates, the waiting time in our queue depends on the total volume of orders and our processing capacity. Please contact us at least 5 business days before your sample plate arrives at our core facility so that we can schedule your project in a timely manner and process it as quickly as possible.

Service Features
