Custom Molecular Biology: Service Rates
Our FY24 service fee structure has been set after discussion with Mass General Brigham (MGB) Research Finance Management and is in compliance with Mass General Brigham non-profit requirements and guidelines. All user fees are effective as of October 1st, 2023.
Due to Mass General Brigham policies and NIH regulations, rates are not the same for all users:
The internal user fee is calculated based on the direct costs of
providing each service. A Mass General Brigham investigator using a Mass General Brigham fund is considered
an internal user.
The external user fee comprises the direct fee charged to the internal user plus an overhead component. External users are identified as investigators (MGB-affiliated or non-MGB-affiliated) and institutions that use non-MGB funds to pay for research core services.
